CURBSIDE LEAF COLLECTION WILL TAKE PLACE ON THE FOLLOWING MONDAYS: OCTOBER 26 • NOVEMBER 2 • NOVEMBER 9 • NOVEMBER 16 • NOVEMBER 23
The Road Crew will collect leaves along public Township and State roads throughout White Township. They will not enter private property to retrieve bags.
The White Township Road Crew WILL collect:
- Leaves placed in biodegradable paper bags.
- Bags set at the curb or ditch line of public roadways.
- Leaves must be curbside by 7 a.m.
The White Township Road Crew WILL Not collect:
- Paper bags weighing greater than 50 pounds.
- Leaves in plastic bags or loose piles.
- Bags left in yards or driveways off the road right-of-way.
- Grass clippings, branches, brush, or garden waste.
Leaves, yard waste, cardboard, and other recyclables may be dropped off year-round, 24/7, at the Indiana County Solid Waste Authority.
Additionally, drop-off is at the Indiana County Solid Waste Authority, 1715 Route 119 South, Homer City, PA, for leaf collection.

All boards meet at the White Township Municipal Office, 950 Indian Springs Road, except the Recreation Advisory Board which meets at the S&T Bank Arena, 497 East Pike Road.
White Township adopted Resolution R-10-20 to establish procedures and guidelines to allow a reasonable opportunity for public comment at each public meeting or hearing. The resolution can be found below.
The White Township Board of Supervisors is accepting applications from Township residents interested in filling vacancies in the following positions:
- Library Board Representative
- Construction Code of Appeals Board Member
- Municipal Authority Board Member
Residents interested in being considered for appointment should complete the Vacancy Application below and submit it by mail, drop it off at the White Township Municipal Office, or email it to wtinfo@whitetownship.org.
Applications will be forwarded to the Board of Supervisors for review and consideration. Applicants may be contacted if an interview is requested.

White Township is considering proposed amendments to its Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance (SALDO) regarding the development and regulation of RV parks.
The proposed amendment would establish standards for RV parks, including requirements related to site layout, setbacks, buffers, access and parking, utilities, lighting, stormwater management, and other aspects of RV park development. The draft also addresses temporary occupancy of RV sites and provides that RVs within an RV park may not be used as permanent residences.
The draft ordinance is currently under consideration and has not been adopted. The proposed language may be revised as part of the Township’s review process. The ordinance is available below.
