Information on the appointed bodies and municipal authorities that support planning, oversight, and service coordination within White Township.

Planning Commission

The White Township Planning Commission advises the Board of Supervisors on land use, development, and subdivision matters to ensure thoughtful growth and sustainable community planning. The Commission reviews proposals, provides recommendations, and helps guide the Township’s long-term vision while preserving its character and resources. The Commission holds regular meetings on the second Tuesday of the month at 6:00 PM and a review meeting the Wednesday prior at 8:30 AM.


The White Township Vacancy Board convenes only when needed to break a tie vote of the Board of Supervisors. The Board consists of a single voting member of the township and serves solely to resolve tie votes.

White Township Municipal Authority (WTMA)

The White Township Municipal Authority (WTMA) manages the Township’s public sewer and stormwater services, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient infrastructure for residents and businesses. The Authority works closely with the Board of Supervisors and Township administration to plan, maintain, and improve essential services while supporting sustainable community growth.

Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee

The White Township Comprehensive Plan was adopted October 8, 2008 and was updated in White Township Priorities adopted Dec. 16, 2020. Having completed an extensive review of the Township’s planning practices, the committee agreed to continue as a long range planning committee.

White Township Recreation Advisory Board

The White Township Recreation Advisory Board supports the development and enhancement of parks, trails, and recreational programs throughout the Township. The Board provides guidance and recommendations to ensure community facilities and activities meet the needs of residents and promotes active, healthy lifestyles.

The White Township Stewardship Committee was established to develop Township’s Stewardship Plan, guiding the responsible management of natural resources, public spaces, and community assets for the benefit of current and future residents.
